Cogwheel Press is currently OPEN for submissions of completed speculative fiction novels.

What we are looking for:

Manuscripts between 50,000 and 160,000 words (Firm). The story must fit within the genres listed below; blending of other genres is fine, but not required. Adult or Young Adult considered:

Compensation:

Authors shall receive royalties based on sales.

Cogwheel Press generally takes first worldwide ebook rights in English, first worldwide print rights, and first Audio Book rights. If print rights aren’t used in a set period of time they revert to the author. All other subsidiary rights remain with the Author.

 What to include in your submission:

Your personal contact information: (name, phone number, mailing address, email, website/blog if applicable, social networking profile fan pages if applicable)

A book pitch in the body of the email, including: word count, title, genre and a short blurb about your book.

Feel free to include a link to a book trailer if you have one. (not required)

Attach a detailed yet concise synopsis of your novel. (try to keep it under 5,000 words)

Attach the first three chapters of your novel. DO NOT send the entire novel!

IMPORTANT!! All attachments must be formatted as: Times New Roman, 12 point type, double spaced. Must be compatible with WORD or Open Office. (.doc, .docx or .rtf) Don’t try to be "different" with your formatting, please stick to industry standards. Wacky fonts and formats are deleted without being read.

IMPORTANT!! In the subject line of your email include the following: BOOK SUBMISSION (and title of your book)

Do not send a submission for an INCOMPLETE maniscript. Manuscripts that are loaded with errors will be rejected. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE SENDING US YOUR VERY BEST WORK.

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT SUBMISSIONS THAT INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

Erotica, discrimination, bigotry/hatred, satanic horror, themes that promote violence against women/children… they will be deleted without notice or consideration.
